CMR (road consignment note)
A CMR is an international consignment note for the road carriage of goods. It confirms that a contract of carriage has been concluded and that the carrier has received the cargo.
A CMR contains the details of the shipper, consignee and carrier, a description of the cargo, its weight and the terms of carriage. In customs clearance of road shipments the CMR data is checked against the invoice and the packing list.
