Is an FSB notification required when importing electronics?
Yes, if the device contains encryption features — which covers almost all modern equipment with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth or 4G/5G (laptops, smartphones, routers, smart devices). An FSB notification must be registered, and for some goods a licence is also required. We determine whether a notification is needed for your specific model and register it before shipment.
What certificates are needed for home appliances?
Most electronics and home appliances fall under EAEU technical regulations: TR CU 004 (low-voltage equipment), TR CU 020 (electromagnetic compatibility) and TR EAEU 037 (restriction of hazardous substances). Depending on the product, either a declaration or a certificate of conformity is issued. We select the correct form and help you obtain it.
How do I determine the HS code for electronics?
The code depends on the type of device, its purpose and technical specifications — a smartphone, a router and a television have different codes and duty rates. An error in the code leads to additional charges and a delayed release. Our specialists select the correct HS code and, if necessary, obtain a preliminary classification ruling from customs.
Can I import electronics samples for testing?
Yes, samples and test batches are cleared as commercial cargo with a full set of documents. Permits (an FSB notification, certification) may also be required for samples — it depends on the product and its characteristics. We will suggest the optimal import scheme for your needs.
How much does customs clearance of electronics cost?
