Sum insured
The sum insured is the maximum amount within which the insurer pays indemnity upon an insured event. For cargo it is usually set equal to the value of the goods, often with freight and expected profit added.
Both the premium and the size of the payout depend on the sum insured. Understating the sum leads to incomplete compensation of the loss.
We will help you correctly determine the sum insured and arrange the shipment.
