Cargo insurance
Cargo insurance is a contract covering the risks of damage, loss, or theft of goods during transport. The insurance premium may be included in the customs value.
Cargo insurance is especially important for expensive and fragile cargo and long routes. Insurance costs are taken into account when determining the customs value where the delivery terms provide for it.
