CIM consignment note
The CIM consignment note is a rail consignment note for international carriage under the Uniform CIM Rules (the COTIF Convention), which apply in Europe. When the legal zone changes, a single CIM/SMGS consignment note is issued.
CIM and SMGS are the two main rail systems; at their junction (for example, at the border of the 1435/1520 gauge) the cargo is re-registered. The correct document is important for through carriage between Europe and the EAEU.
We will plan the route and clearance for your rail shipment.
