Electronic vehicle passport (EPTS)
EPTS is the electronic vehicle passport: a digital document in the unified EAEU system containing information about a vehicle. When importing a car, an EPTS is issued instead of a paper PTS.
The EPTS is issued after confirmation of the vehicle's design safety (SBKTS) and payment of the recycling fee; marks on customs clearance are entered into it. Without an EPTS a car cannot be registered with the traffic police.
