Shipper and consignee
The shipper is the party handing over the cargo for carriage; the consignee is the party receiving the cargo at the destination. Their details are stated in the transport documents (bill of lading, CMR, air waybill).
For customs clearance it is important that the consignee's details match the importer-declarant and the contract. Discrepancies lead to queries and delays.
We verify that the details are correct across all documents before the declaration is filed.
