Preliminary classification decision
A preliminary classification decision is an official document of the customs authority that confirms the HS code of a specific product in advance. It is binding on customs for the duration of its validity.
Such a decision removes the risk of a classification dispute during clearance: the code is already agreed. It is especially useful for technically complex goods and regular shipments.
To obtain it, a description of the goods with technical documentation is submitted; we help prepare the justification for the code.
