Carriage charge (RZD tariff)
The carriage charge is the cost of rail transport, calculated under the tariff (in Russia, Price List No. 10-01). It depends on the cargo class, distance, wagon type and load.
The carriage charge is the main part of the cost of rail delivery; fees for placement, security and others are added to it. Correct calculation is important for comparing rail with other modes of transport.
