Destination station
The destination station is the rail station indicated in the consignment note as the final point of carriage, where the cargo is released to the consignee. It may differ from the place of actual customs clearance.
The destination station determines the transit time, tariff and where it is more convenient to clear the cargo. Sometimes clearance is done at a border station, sometimes at a station deep inside the country.
