Repatriation of foreign-currency proceeds

Repatriation of foreign-currency proceeds is the obligation, provided for by currency legislation, of a resident to ensure that foreign currency under a foreign trade contract (or the return of an advance) is received into accounts at Russian banks within the set deadlines.

Missing the repatriation deadlines risks penalties. The deadlines and procedure are monitored by the authorised bank for a contract that has been registered (UCN).

We help structure the settlements under the contract in line with currency control requirements.
