Laytime

Laytime — the period agreed in the contract of carriage for loading or unloading a vessel without additional payment. Exceeding it leads to demurrage, and saving time sometimes to a bonus (dispatch).

Laytime is fixed in the charter and counted according to the established rules. Controlling it helps avoid demurrage.

We will help plan the timing and clearance to avoid demurrage.
