Sanctions lists
Sanctions lists are official lists of individuals and legal entities, countries and goods subject to restrictions. They are maintained by various jurisdictions (OFAC, EU, UK, UN) and are updated regularly.
A counterparty or goods appearing on a list makes a deal risky or impossible. The lists change, so checks are carried out as of the current date.
