Veterinary certificate

A veterinary certificate is a document confirming the veterinary and sanitary safety of products of animal origin (meat, fish, dairy products, feed) when moved across the border.

It is required as part of veterinary control; it is issued in the country of departure, and on import the cargo undergoes a check, including through the "Mercury" system. Without it, goods of animal origin will not be released.
