Specific duty
A specific duty is an import duty rate set as a fixed amount per unit of measurement of the goods (for example, per kilogram, item or litre), independent of the customs value.
Specific rates are applied where the physical volume matters (some foodstuffs, footwear, alcohol). The calculation requires exact weight and quantity, not just the price.
We will take the type of rate into account and calculate the payments for your goods.
